The objectives of the present work aimed at investigation of phytochemicals and antimicrobial activity of ethanolic extracts of some selected plants active against bacteria viz., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Vibrio cholerae, Vibrio parahaemolyticus, Klebsiella spp., Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp. and Staphylococcus aureus. Results of the all plants extracts have alkaloids, flavonoids, terpenoids, carbohydrate, tannin and saponins exhibit potential of antibacterial activities. The ethanolic extract of Oberonia santapaui bulb was the highest activity against S. aureus.
